TENANT EVENT HIRE FAQ's
The Hall on the ground floor of Friars Mount House and the Lawn are available for hire to all Rochelle tenants at a fraction of commercial rates. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions.
If you would like to use either area, or both, please speak with Rochelle Management as they keep a diary of both internal and external hires.
The Hall and Lawn are offered to tenants at exclusive rates on the basis it is for a tenant’s direct use and not for events produced in conjunction with a third-party.
BOOKING YOUR EVENT
Use of the Hall and Lawn fall into two categories:
Public Facing Events: suitable Mon-Fri after working hours and anytime Sat-Sun.
Events that involve guests or an invited audience.
2. In House Activities: suitable any time during Rochelle open hours.
Activities that form part of your day-to-day working practice such as temporary overspill area, photo shoot, layout space…
NOISE
Acoustic screens are available to surround the hired zone in the Hall for greater privacy.
Depending on the time of day, noise restrictions may apply to your event.
IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND
Events produced in conjunction with a third-party company or individual are not treated as tenant events and may incur additional fees.
HIRE FEES
We offer exclusive rates for tenants at a fraction of the commercial hire rate.
Fees are dependent on the scale and nature of your proposed event.
For simplicity, bookings are charged at either a full-day, or half-day / evening rate, with the exact amount according to whether you are planning a Public Facing Event or In House Activity, and the amount of people attending.

WHAT DO HIRE FEES INCLUDE?
Hire of the space on your chosen day/evening and support from Rochelle Management in the run up to your event.
Fees do not include security, production, nor catering costs if required.
SECURITY FOR PUBLIC FACING EVENTS
In addition to the hire fee, all Public Facing Events require qualified SIA Security Guard presence as follows:
30 attendees or less: single security guard
30-60 attendees: two security guard
60+ attendees: three security guards
Rochelle Management are happy to provide a quote and make arrangements on behalf of Tenants to ensure best value.
CAN WE BRING IN OUR OWN CATERER?
No. Arnold & Henderson who run Rochelle Canteen are leading restaurateurs and specialist caterers, able to supply a wide range of options to suit all your requirements.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY FOR CONFIRMED EVENTS?
Whilst we try not to penalise Tenants, fees may apply if you cancel your hire within two days of the event.
are fees vat inclusive?
Quoted fees do not include VAT, which will be added at the point of invoicing.
is a deposit required?
As a tenant we don’t usually require a deposit for events. However, depending on the scale and complexity of your proposal, on some occasions we may require a deposit against potential damages.
